Christen K. Douglas is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Personal Law Practice. Our Personal Law Practice serves the legal and financial interests of individuals and family-owned businesses. We represent individuals and families in planning related to the estate and gift tax, family business succession, philanthropy, and management of personal financial interests on a national and international scale. A large part of the practice consists of representing major universities, secondary schools and cultural organizations around the country in connection with their planned giving programs.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Douglas practiced in Los Angeles for three years where she represented high net worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations in a variety of civil litigation matters. In litigating such disputes, she was able to resolve specific consequences of wealth management strategies, learning and eventually anticipating how problems may arise from certain provisions over time.
Ms. Douglas earned her LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law in 2011 and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2007. She earned her A.B. in politics and finance from Princeton University in 2004.
Ms. Douglas is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and California and before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
