William P. McCaughan, Jr. is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. The lawyers in our Litigation Practice provide services in a wide range of areas including business and corporate disputes, corporate investigations and criminal defense, environmental, international arbitration, patent and trademark, securities, toxic tort, and product liability.
Mr. McCaughan has experience as both a trial and appellate attorney. As a prosecutor for Florida's Twentieth Judicial Circuit, he brought dozens of cases to jury verdict. Mr. McCaughan's duties as an assistant state attorney also entailed the defense of successful verdicts on appeal.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. McCaughan served as a law clerk to Judge Charles R. Wilson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Prior to his clerkship, Mr. McCaughan was an assistant state attorney in Florida's Twentieth Judicial Circuit.
Mr. McCaughan earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2007 and his B.B.A. in finance, with a supplementary major in philosophy, from the University of Notre Dame in 2004.
Mr. McCaughan is admitted to practice in Florida.
