Richard J. Carey

Richard J. Carey is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Antitrust Practice. Mr. Carey's practice focuses on conducting internal investigations and representing clients in criminal and civil cases involving allegations of price-fixing and monopolization. He also assists clients in responding to Request for Additional Information and Documentary Materials (Second Requests) from the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Carey served as an Assistant Public Defender in Fairfax County in Virginia.

Mr. Carey received his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 2009, where he served as notes editor for the George Mason Law Review. While in law school, Mr. Carey served as a legal intern for the Octagon Sports Agency and was a summer intern with The Children’s Law Center in Washington, D.C. He earned his B.S. in finance, insurance, and business law from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1996.

Mr. Carey is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
