BEIJING, HONG KONG, AND SHANGHAI, March 8, 2018: China Business Law Journal has named Morgan Lewis as a leading firm in three practice categories as part of its China Business Law Awards 2017-18, demonstrating recognition of the firm’s increasingly elite services to clients in Greater China following the opening of an office* in Hong Kong and lateral expansion in Beijing and Shanghai in 2017.
Morgan Lewis earned the distinction in the Education, Employment and Industrial Relations, and Intellectual Property (Patent and Trade Secret) categories. The awards are based on hundreds of nominations and comments received mostly from China-focused corporate counsel, senior managers, and legal professionals around the world, as well as each firm's landmark deals, cases, and other notable achievements in the last year.
These awards highlight Morgan Lewis’s growing reputation in Greater China. In December, Partner K. Lesli Ligorner was named to the journal’s “A List,” which recognizes the top 100 lawyers in China. The firm also was recognized in 2016 by the publication as having one of its deals of the year, and was previously recognized as a leading law firm for Compliance and Anti-Corruption.
