CHICAGO, October 12, 2018: Morgan Lewis was honored by the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law with the 2018 Benchmark Award for the firm’s unique efforts to support and increase awareness of the importance of gender parity.
Cultivating a culture of opportunity for women is a priority at Morgan Lewis where women serve in senior leadership roles across the firm, including on the Advisory Board and the Compensation Committee; as leaders of our practices and offices; and in prominent positions throughout the firm’s offices worldwide. Among Morgan Lewis’s overall efforts to promote diversity and inclusion, the ML Women initiative harnesses the strength of women through partnership with our clients, creating opportunities for women to come together around a shared industry or practice. Partner Deborah Davidson leads the Chicago office’s ML Women group and serves as the office’s liaison to the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives. The nonprofit membership association, with which the office established a relationship in 2011, aims to enhance the recruitment, retention, and promotion of women lawyers.
