Friday, April 28, 2017

SILICON VALLEY, April 28, 2017: Next week, Morgan Lewis will kick off its seventh annual Technology May-rathon, a month-long curriculum of more than 20 global webinars and in-person programs focused on the critical issues and developments affecting businesses and professionals working in or with today’s rapidly evolving technology industry.

This year’s programming covers timely topics across five designated tracks: tech innovation and the new administration; artificial intelligence and disruptive technologies; the intersection of technology and finance; issues in global technology; and privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection. More than 40 Morgan Lewis lawyers across a number of the firm’s offices and leading practices will share insight on a broad scope of relevant matters, from technology transactions and outsourcing, to patent strategy and litigation.

“We are pleased to present this unparalleled series of programs created exclusively to provide technology leaders with the insight they need to leverage market opportunities and counteract significant threats,” said Catherine Wang, co-leader of the firm’s Technology Industry Initiative. “Our five distinct programming tracks offer invaluable perspectives from Morgan Lewis lawyers around the world who address the most relevant topics shaping today’s evolving tech industry.”

The May-Rathon begins Tuesday, May 2 with “From VIE to SAFE – Tech Investments Into and from China,” a discussion of the common structural features and pitfalls of technology-related investments into and from China.
