Morgan Lewis Launches 2017 ML Diversity Career Fellowship Application Process

Monday, July 18, 2016

PHILADELPHIA, July 18, 2016: Morgan Lewis is accepting applications for its ML Diversity Career Fellowship, a unique opportunity for future participants in the firm’s innovative Summer Associate Program who share a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion across Morgan Lewis’s 28 global offices, the broader legal profession, and within their local communities.

Established in 2008, the program awards salaried summer associate positions and a $15,000 stipend to highly qualified second-year students. The stipends are paid to fellowship recipients who complete the Summer Associate Program and accept offers of full-time associate employment with the firm. Half of the stipend is paid when the summer associates accept the offer of associate employment, and half is paid upon commencement of associate employment. Fellowship selection is based on candidates’ efforts to promote diversity and inclusion on their campuses as well as during their tenure with the firm. More than 30 ML Diversity Career Fellowships have been granted since the program’s inception.

Morgan Lewis provides a number of opportunities to law students who demonstrate a commitment to the firm’s core values of diversity and inclusion—values that strongly influence and inform our award-winning client service practices, recruiting efforts, and relationships within the firm. Morgan Lewis also partners with select law schools on the ML Diversity Scholarship Program and the BARBRI Law Preview, which respectively provide second- and third-year students with financial support and incoming first-year students with critical preparation for success.
