LONDON, March 7, 2019: Morgan Lewis partner Louise Skinner has been named a recipient of a Distinguished Legal Writing Award as part of the 2019 Burton Awards, a nonprofit awards program recognizing excellence in legal writing. Sponsored by Law360 and the American Bar Association, the Distinguished Legal Writing Awards selected 30 articles from law firms in the United States that demonstrate clarity, cogency, and persuasive legal writing.

Louise was honored for her article, “Gender Pay Gap – Current Trends,” which was published by HRreview in February 2018. The article discussed key trends emerging from gender pay reporting in the United Kingdom, where employers with 250 or more workers must publish and report specific figures about their gender pay gap. Louise concentrates on regulatory employment matters, including unfair and constructive dismissal, contractual disputes, whistleblowing, discrimination, and restraint of trade. She also has significant experience in both Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation.
