SAN FRANCISCO, July 20, 2017: Partner Robert John (“RJ”) Hendricks has been selected by the Daily Journal as one of California's Top Labor and Employment Lawyers for 2017.
Mr. Hendricks represents employers and managers in the travel, hospitality, food service, entertainment, and retail industries in cases brought under California and US federal law involving matters such as wage and hour issues, antidiscrimination laws, and the US Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). As a lead counsel, he has significant experience in state, federal and administrative trials. He also has extensive class action experience and has defeated class certification in numerous cases.
Mr. Hendricks was chosen by the publication in part because of his invaluable experience representing clients in the airline and shipping industries, both highly regulated industries that play a major role in California’s economy as well as the nation’s economy. In his two decades representing clients in these key industries he has defended several airlines in a spate of significant wage and hour class action litigation that threatens the industry-standard compensation model for flight attendants.
Other honorees include more than 50 litigators, counselors, advisers, and labor specialists who have made an impact on the legal profession in California. Mr. Hendricks was profiled by the Daily Journal in a feature published on July 19.
