HOUSTON, August 23, 2019: Chevron Law Function has recognized Morgan Lewis as a winner of its 2019 Law Firm Diversity Award. The award honors law firms that have demonstrated a commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.
“At Morgan Lewis, we have long recognized that diversity and inclusion are integral to the very soul of the firm,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “The commitment of companies like Chevron that share our dedication to increasing diversity in the legal profession is exactly what will move the needle forward, and we are very proud to be recognized with this award.”
Additionally, Chevron Law Function will donate $5,000 in Morgan Lewis’s name to Houston Volunteer Lawyers, the pro bono legal aid arm of the Houston Bar Association. Each year, the organization provides free legal aid to more than 6,000 people in Harris County, Texas. Morgan Lewis partnered with Houston Volunteer Lawyers in 2018 to reunite families that were separated after being detained at the US-Mexico border.
MaLora McCullough, director of Diversity and Inclusion, accepted the award on behalf of the firm on August 21 in Houston.
