The annual list highlights the 20 leading IP law firms in the United States, based on recent work across the spectrum of advisory, counseling, transactional, and litigation matters. In its June 2, 2014 issue, the National Law Journal describes 2013 as a year of “big wins in state and federal venues, from California to New York” for the Morgan Lewis Intellectual Property Practice.
Morgan Lewis intellectual property victories in 2013 include a ruling in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in favor of client Cornerstone Therapeutics. The ruling strengthened protections for use of published scientific opinions. Morgan Lewis also won affirmance of a judgment, after a jury trial, of $407 million in the California appeals court in December for client Asahi Kasei Pharma Corp.
