U.S. Cuban Sanctions: Recent Changes (Session II)

February 04, 2015

Following President Barack Obama’s December announcement of a new proposed policy in the longstanding U.S. policy toward Cuba, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) issued new regulations effective January 16 to implement changes to the Cuban embargo regulations.

Morgan Lewis presented this one-hour webinar to examine the current status of the Cuban sanctions, the regulatory changes that have been enacted, and how these changes will impact trade involving Cuba. Lawyers from our International Trade and Economic Sanctions Practice will explain how these changes will be implemented by the OFAC and BIS and will address any questions participants may have. Please note that this is the same program that will take place on January 29. We are offering an alternative date so that all who are interested may attend.
