Clients seek out Adrian Tan to represent them in disputes involving intellectual property, information technology, confidential information and defamation, and shareholder and corporate disputes. He is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer, with a number of landmark decisions to his name. Adrian is a former general counsel of a Singapore government owned eGovernment services provider, and draws from that experience to counsel clients on IT disputes. A prolific writer on legal matters, Adrian also is the author of bestselling novels.
Adrian contributes to a number of legal publications, including Carter-Ruck on Libel and Slander 6th ed. (LexisNexisButterworths, 2010), a well-known defamation textbook; A Civil Practice–Good Counsel for Learned Friends (Academy Publishing, 2011); and The Practice of Law (LexisNexis, 2011).
Adrian is the vice president of the Law Society of Singapore. His charitable activities include work for the Singapore Association for the Visually Handicapped, where he is its honorary legal counsel.
