Alicia J. Farquhar focuses her practice on achieving results that make good business sense for her clients and includes the substantive areas of wage and hour (including internal audits and reclassification), leaves of absence, termination and performance counseling, reductions in force, workplace investigations, agency audits, workplace violence issues, and personnel policy drafting and review, as well as a wide range of other areas relating to employment law. Alicia also advises companies with respect to employment due diligence matters in the merger and acquisition context.

In the course of her litigation experience, Alicia has handled matters involving wage and hour class actions, wrongful termination, sex discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, disability discrimination, race discrimination, sexual harassment, fraud, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, defamation, and intentional interference with business relations, in addition to a wide range of other claims.

Alicia has more than 30 years of experience practicing employment law counseling and litigation in and around Silicon Valley. She joined Morgan Lewis after acting as the assistant general counsel of labor and employment at SolarCity Corporation, where she lead employment growth within the company of approximately 13,000 employees in her two-and-a-half year tenure. Prior to that, Alicia was of counsel at another international law firm, resident in Silicon Valley.

Alicia has addressed numerous national and state legal organizations, including TechNet, the American Law Institute–American Bar Association, and the California Employer's Legal Council, and has conducted numerous client training sessions.
