Amelia C. Joiner represents corporate clients and financial institutions in complex restructuring matters, with an emphasis on complex commercial and bankruptcy litigation and appeals. She represents investors and lenders throughout the capital structure on all aspects of restructuring, including debtor-in-possession financing, claim and plan negotiations and litigation, adversary proceedings, and settlements.

Amelia is also active in pro bono matters. In a recent victory, she successfully obtained a green card for an unaccompanied minor client. She led all aspects of the case, including researching complex immigration issues, drafting pleadings, and representing the client in hearings in front of the Boston Immigration Court and in interviews with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
In 2013, Amelia completed her secondment at the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office. She represented the Commonwealth in all stages of litigation, including presenting oral arguments and examining witnesses in jury trial, bench trial and evidentiary hearing, and arguing numerous non-evidentiary hearings and motions.
