Amelia C. Joiner is the firm’s knowledge management counsel, lead. In this role, she works closely with the chief knowledge officer to further firmwide and practice group–focused knowledge management initiatives. Amelia provides direction for the firm’s practice groups to advance more effective and efficient knowledge sharing practices. Amelia also works on change management and communication protocols to further attorney understanding and adoption of key knowledge management technologies and processes.
Prior to taking on a leadership role with the knowledge management team, Amelia was a partner in the firm’s finance practice, where she represented investors and lenders throughout the capital structure on all aspects of restructuring, including debtor-in-possession financing, claim and plan negotiations and litigation, adversary proceedings, and settlements.
Amelia maintains an active pro bono practice. Since 2016, she has managed the Boston office’s relationship with Project Citizenship, a Boston-based organization that helps eligible lawful permanent residents apply for US citizenship. A long-standing member of the Boston office Pro Bono Committee, Amelia also currently co-leads the Measuring Our Progress and Coordinating Our Efforts team, part of the firm’s Mobilizing for Equality Task Force.
