Anni Siitonen, Ph.D., focuses her practice on drafting and prosecuting patents in the arts of optics, nanotechnology, and material science. Additional areas of her work include mechanical, electrical, and software engineering. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Anni was a patent agent at an IP boutique law firm. She has academic and industrial research experience working with nanomaterials, nanosensors, and optical detection systems. Anni is fluent in Finnish.
Anni’s research experience includes synthesis and modification of nanomaterials, studying their optical and electronic properties with spectroscopic and microscopic techniques, and development of nanodevices for chemical sensing and renewable energy applications. Special focus of her research has been on carbon nanotubes and graphene.
