Ashley represents employers in state and federal court litigation including individual claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under Title VII and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act. Ashley also handles complex wage and hour class action litigation in state and federal courts as well as other representative and collective actions under the California Private Attorneys General Act.

Ashley represents employers at administrative hearings and during investigations by various state and federal agencies, including the US Department of Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the California Department of Industrial Relations-Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.
Ashley also regularly counsels employers of all sizes, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to startups, on a full-spectrum of labor and employment issues including hiring practices, employment policies, leaves of absence, discipline and performance issues, disability accommodation, independent contractor relationships, and terminations.
