Ben Williams focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and arbitration, including consumer class action, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, and employment disputes. A substantial part of Ben’s practice involves defending energy, retailer, technology, and transportation clients in a wide range of business and employment disputes, including in multi-district litigation. Before practicing law, Ben worked as a senior manager in the HR department of a global airline.
Ben handles all phases of litigation, from inception through complex discovery, trial, and appeal. As part of his active pro bono practice, Ben successfully represented a professor in an equal protection suit brought against her former employer, and he also regularly volunteers at a women’s shelter, providing pro bono legal consultations for victims of domestic violence.
As second chair, successfully defended nationwide home builder against claims of trademark infringement.
Successfully represented a large oil and gas company in its multi-million dollar breach of contract suit against another energy company.
Helped defend a leading energy-drink manufacturer in a government action involving the caffeine content of the client’s products, which resulted in a favorable settlement for the client.
Helped successfully defend a worldwide retailer in class action lawsuits brought by employees alleging sex discrimination.
Helped defend a large fantasy sports operator in multi-district litigation involving approximately 80 individual class action suits brought by the operator’s customers.
