William (Bill) Springer’s transactional practice focuses on structured finance, derivatives, renewable energy, life settlements, private equity and hedge funds, and alternative asset financing in the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Bill works with banks, asset managers, hedge funds, private equity funds, liquidity providers, and other market participants on a variety of transactions, including cash-based and synthetic CDOs; other ABS transactions secured by receivables, mortgages, and other assets; equity and credit-linked notes; synthetic entertainment financing; distressed debt transactions; and other financing vehicles.

Bill advises clients in the derivatives market, regularly representing derivative counterparties in credit, equity, commodity, FX, and interest rate derivative transactions as well as more novel deals in weather, energy, insurance municipal, and other derivative types. He is extremely active in the renewable energy financing market and has worked on the development of the securitization of solar leases and solar power purchase agreements. Bill is also one of the leading practitioners in the PACE bond industry and the development of structured finance products secured by such PACE bonds. He regularly advises clients in connection with life settlement transactions and is currently active in alternative financing structures for startup companies and emerging markets.
