Callie M. Kim focuses on employee benefits and executive compensation for public and private companies. Callie helps companies design and implement compensation plans to attract, motivate, and retain top talent. She advises on qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and executive compensation arrangements. She also counsels clients on the legal issues arising under ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and securities laws. Callie draws on prior professional experience in emerging growth companies to bring an accessible, practical, and client-focused approach to her law practice.
Callie believes in the importance of understanding the broader context that affects her clients’ business decisions. As a former marketing professional with an M.B.A., she takes a business-minded approach to designing solutions to her clients' legal problems. Prior to law school, Callie helped entrepreneurs launch their ideas from concept to market. As director of marketing for an educational software startup, she focused on bringing a gamified language-learning experience to classrooms all over the country. She oversaw the sales team at a health and wellness start-up as the company exceeded its break-even point within its first year of operation. Because of her experience in early stage companies, Callie takes a practical approach to problem solving and provides advice that is pragmatic, tailored, and cost-effective.
Callie was a Levy Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and served as an associate editor for the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law. Before law school, Callie earned an M.B.A. from St. Louis University.
