Camarin E.B. Madigan focuses her practice on real estate, energy, land use, natural resources, and environmental law. She advises developers, landowners, lenders, and public agencies regarding energy, land use entitlements, acquisitions/dispositions, and leasing for complex development projects and commercial properties.
Camarin represents clients with matters pending before the California Energy Commission, the California Coastal Commission, the Bureau of Land Management, the US Army Corps of Engineers, and various local agencies. She handles energy, regulatory, and environmental permits, and she advises clients on matters related to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Warren-Alquist Act, and the Subdivision Map Act.
Camarin’s practice includes the acquisition, development, leasing, and disposition of a wide range of properties, from office buildings and shopping centers to agricultural lands and medical facilities. She also manages multi-disciplinary teams for the acquisition, development, and financing of complex projects.
In 2008 and 2009, Camarin lived in Japan while she was seconded to the in-house legal department of Mitsui & Co., Ltd. While at Mitsui, she managed the legal affairs of Mitsui and its subsidiaries in North, Central, and South America in a variety of industries, including energy and natural resources, agricultural resources, and information technology. She now provides valuable insights into the business culture and negotiating style of Japanese companies.
Camarin externed with Judge Vaughn Walker in the US District Court, Northern District of California, during the summer of 2001.
