Cathy K. Ma brings her multidisciplinary research experience in both life sciences and biomedical engineering to her practice where she works with life sciences and pharmaceutical companies on most aspects of intellectual properties, including patent drafting and prosecution, research and analysis relating to patentability, freedom to operate opinions, due diligence, and strategic counseling in biotechnology, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, enzyme industry, biologics, chemistry, bioinformatics, and biomedical engineering.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis in 2016, Cathy was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and then School of Medicine, at Stanford University. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Arthritis Foundation. Cathy is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
