Charis Redmond focuses her practice on litigation and intellectual property in the technology industry. Her experience includes matters with innovative clients in software, electronics, and financial technology (Fintech). She also advises clients on cybersecurity and data privacy issues. Charis’s experience with tech and data privacy extends to her pro bono practice, where she assists nonprofit organizations in this space. She also draws from her human services background to effectively assist pro bono clients on civil rights and immigration matters.
While in law school, Charis was a special prosecutions intern with her local office of the Maryland State’s Attorney, investigating economic crimes and police misconduct. She also served as a two-time national officer for the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA) and on the editorial board of the Virginia Sports and Entertainment Law Journal.
