Charles J. “Buck” Reitmeyer advises on general antitrust and trade regulation litigation, with an emphasis on franchise and dealer relations, unfair competition and other business torts. Buck has worked on numerous complex private antitrust and dealer relations cases, including class actions and multidistrict litigation. He also has experience in trademark, copyright, and general commercial litigation in US state and federal courts and in arbitration proceedings.
In addition to his commercial litigation matters, Buck has experience in various product-liability and tort cases, with a focus on assisting clients in responding to catastrophic personal injury and property damage incidents and defending them in any resulting litigation. He also has experience managing large portfolios of product-liability and tort cases and serving as national coordinating counsel in high-profile mass litigation.
Buck rejoined Morgan Lewis in 2017 after serving as associate vice president and assistant general counsel at Aramark for nearly 13 years. At Aramark, he oversaw all of the company’s non-employment civil litigation throughout the United States, ranging from personal injury matters to complex commercial litigation. In this regard, Buck instituted litigation management guidelines, developed metrics for evaluating outside counsel, and implemented procedures and programs to more efficiently handle Aramark’s litigation. Additionally, he provided support to the Corporate Risk Management and Supply Chain Management teams, and handled the antitrust and food safety/FDA counseling functions.
Prior to his work at Aramark, Buck was of counsel at Morgan Lewis for more than 13 years, focusing his practice on complex commercial litigation, including antitrust, trade regulation, consumer protection, and tort matters, and providing counsel on numerous antitrust and trade regulation issues.
Buck also acts as an arbitrator and mediator in various disputes and cases.
