Conrad Bolston focuses his practice on environmental litigation and regulatory compliance. Conrad has assisted clients with federal and state environmental enforcement matters, environmental due diligence efforts, regulatory guidance, internal investigations, and litigation arising under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and analogous state laws.
Conrad has recently assisted an oil and gas company in performing environmental audits. He also represented two companies involving civil litigation resulting from significant oil and gas releases.
Conrad has been involved in multiple enforcement investigations of large companies for allegations of illegal product imports and violations of various federal and state laws. He has also worked on trial-court litigation involving complex issues including antitrust laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Telecommunications Act, and various other federal statutes and state tort causes of action.
He previously served as a law clerk for Judge James R. Spencer of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
While at Georgetown University Law Center, Conrad was an executive editor of the Annual Review of Criminal Procedure as a member of the Georgetown Law Journal. He was also vice-president of the Environmental Law Society and academic chair of the Black Law Student Association. While in law school, Conrad served as a summer law clerk for the Environmental Defense Section of the Environment and Natural Resources Division at the US Department of Justice.
