Carlotta J. Roos represents employers in class, collective, and single-plaintiff lawsuits in state and federal court alleging violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act (Title VII), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Florida Civil Rights Act, and the Florida Whistle-blower’s Act.
Carlotta assists with all stages of employment-related disputes. She conducts internal investigations, responds to EEOC and other administrative agency charges of discrimination and retaliation, and leads the employer’s defense in any ultimate lawsuits or arbitrations. Carlotta also counsels employers on complex human resource issues, drafts personnel policies, trains employees on company policies, and provides recommendations regarding best practices, HR investigations, and remedial action.
In addition to her law practice, Carlotta serves as a certified mediator in a wide range of employment and general civil litigation cases.
