David Canales represents clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, and general corporate matters. David also counsels companies in connection with financing transactions, including public offerings and private placement of securities. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, David worked as in-house counsel for an international oil and gas company. David is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in English.
After graduating from Tulane University Law School, David was awarded a fellowship with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute where he worked for the US Treasury Department in Washington, DC and Grupo Salinas in Mexico City, Mexico.
