Dmitry represents domestic and international companies across multiple industries, such as media, energy, retail, and financial services in mergers, acquisitions, and joint venture transactions as well as in general corporate matters and real estate transactions. On an ongoing basis, he also counsels clients on virtually all regulatory aspects of employment relations, including issues of personnel mobility, executive compensation, long-term incentive (LTI) programs and a variety of personnel issues arising in M&A transactions.
Dmitry's prior experience includes participating in insolvency court proceedings in several Russian regions and internal investigations as well as representing clients in employment disputes with current and former employees. He is also involved in the Fintech industry working group at Morgan Lewis.
Dmitry also has experience in the regulatory aspects of gambling and sports betting industry.
Before joining Morgan Lewis, Dmitry was an associate at the Moscow office of another international law firm. He is a native Russian speaker and is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of the German language.

Advised a global provider of telecommunications and digital services, on the termination of the retail joint venture between its Russian subsidiary and another major telecommunication provider in Russia
Advised one of Europe's largest internet companies and the leading search provider in Russia, in a transaction with a Russian state-owned bank to create a joint venture aimed at turning the client's shopping comparison site into a fully-fledged online retailer
Advised a US-based private equity fund on its sale of a majority stake in a prominent Russian internet and telecom provider of internet, fixed and mobile telephone services, data transfer, and cloud-based solutions for business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients in a number of Russian regions
Represented one of the largest Russian banking groups in selling an interest in a Russian bank in exchange for a portion of the Russian assets of a European bank, including shares of Russian issuers, loans to Russian companies, and commercial real estate assets in Russia.
Advised one of Europe's largest internet companies and the leading search provider in Russia, in a transaction with multinational technology company to combine their ridesharing businesses in Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, and Georgia;
Advised a private equity fund on its acquisition of a significant interest in the largest children's goods retailer in Russia and the CIS from a major Russian financial group, which will help support the retailer’s development and expansion into global markets such as Asia
Advised a Russian major oil and gas company on the proposed acquisition of gas stations in a CIS country and a joint-venture with the operator of the airport fuel terminal
Advising a major US provider of technology solutions for the construction industry on its acquisition of the Russian business of software development company

Advised one of the world’s largest snack food and pet food producers on labor disputes with former employees and on various employment issues on an ongoing basis
Advised a large pharmaceutical company on a range of employment law issues, including the Russian rules on discrimination against employees
Advised a global bank on issues related to its global severance pay policy, including its applicability to the Russian labor law framework, and on a compensation dispute with an employee
Advised an international financial services organization on the labour aspects of the proposed sale of its Russian subsidiary
Advised a large international newspaper on Russian employment law issues in the review of their arrangements with local personnel
Advised a global private equity firm on regulatory issues and recent case law relating to indexation of salaries for employees in Russia
