Elizabeth I. Buechner focuses her practice on business and corporate disputes, corporate investigations, and white collar criminal defense. Liz represents individuals and organizations across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, financial services, retail, and media. Her experience includes defense of clients in commercial litigation, as well as qui tam lawsuits and investigations arising under the False Claims Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and a variety of other provisions of federal and state law.

Liz maintains an active pro bono practice, focusing on immigration and family court matters. She received Her Justice’s Commitment to Justice Award in connection with her work securing humanitarian parole for a four-year-old Honduran victim of neglect and abuse. Other notable victories include obtaining a favorable settlement for a victim of domestic violence during trial in family court and securing asylum for a gay man from Turkmenistan.
Prior to law school, Liz worked for two years as a litigation paralegal in the Boston office of a major international law firm.
