Elizabeth C. Polido is part of a team that counsels clients on employment matters, and advises and defends employers faced with litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour litigation. She has defended clients in US federal and state courts and in arbitrations on class, collective, and single-plaintiff employment litigation matters. Elizabeth has particular experience in the financial services, sports, media and entertainment sectors.
Elizabeth also counsels clients in the sports industry on various issues related to labor and employment and sports betting.
In addition, she advises on #MeToo issues including conducting investigations into workplace culture and advising on harassment prevention, crisis management and remedial action.
While attending New York University School of Law, Elizabeth was actively involved in numerous pro bono projects, including a clinic at Advocates For Children of New York. At Morgan Lewis, she continues her pro bono work assisting non-profit clients with employment counseling and employee handbooks.
Before attending law school, Elizabeth spent two years as an in-house paralegal at a large corporation.
