Erin McAdams represents clients in a broad array of employment and benefits issues before US federal and state trial and appellate courts. Her practice focuses on complex litigation including class, collective, and single-plaintiff actions arising under ERISA and federal antidiscrimination laws. She has experience with all stages of litigation, from inception through trial and post-trial appeals. Erin also has an active Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) practice. She regularly represents clients in the trucking, locomotive, and retail industries in investigations, emergency responses, and litigation against state and federal agencies.
In her pro bono practice, Erin is committed to representing the rights of women and children. She has represented sexual assault survivors in order of protection hearings, as well as claims brought under the Violence Against Women Act. She represents clients through the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago, Northern District of Illinois Settlement Assistance Program, and the National Immigrant Justice Center Asylum Project. She is on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and serves as co-chair of its Younger Lawyers Division.
Earlier in her legal career, Erin served as a law clerk to Judge William J. Zloch of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida, where she assisted the Judge with more than a dozen jury and bench trials.
