Eric L. Perelman counsels investment managers in a range of securities regulatory and transactional matters. He advises hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, large financial institutions, and other market participants on structure and operations, regulatory guidance and interpretation, investment adviser compliance and controls, internal and regulatory investigations, and enforcement actions and examinations by the SEC.
Eric is part of a team of attorneys that counsels investment funds, their advisers, and large financial institutions on a variety of securities matters including registration and disclosure, fiduciary duty, product and service development, interpretive guidance, regulatory examinations and investigations, and enforcement actions. He also counsels clients on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures involving asset managers and investment advisers. While in law school, Eric served in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Student Honors Program, completing rotations with the Division of Enforcement and the Division of Investment Management. He also served as a law clerk at the Investment Company Institute and with the government and regulatory affairs team at the Financial Services Roundtable.
