Hazel Fan advises on China employment law compliance by the local subsidiaries of transnational corporations in various scenarios such as management hiring and dismissal documenting and negotiation, HR policy (e.g. the employee handbook) review, mass lay-off project-related labor due diligence and project implementation, and pre-transaction employment law compliance diligence. Hazel also represents overseas clients to conduct internal investigations into their Chinese affiliated entity’s commercial bribery and employee embezzlement based on whistleblower report.
Before joining Morgan Lewis, Hazel worked for a “Big Four” affiliated local law firm and mainly focused her practice on transactional and compliance legal advisory services for multinational corporation clients.
Hazel was admitted to the New York State Bar and passed the Chinese bar examination in 2017. Her working languages include Chinese mandarin, English, and Japanese.
