Jamal Hill is part of a team that counsels clients on various corporate law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, financing, joint ventures, spinoffs, and strategic alliances. Other areas of work involve restructuring, tax, and securities, including public and private equity and debt offerings. He advises clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies and investment banks to emerging market companies. Jamal draws upon his diverse educational, professional, and civic experiences to thoughtfully serve his clients' needs.
While in law school, Jamal worked as a student attorney in the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic, where he helped to incorporate a social enterprise venture, and participated in the Legislative Clinic, where he completed a congressional internship on Capitol Hill. He also taught entrepreneurship skills to local youth with the Urban Ventures Project and served on the board of the Black Law Students Association. Prior to law school, Jamal worked as a litigation paralegal in Washington, DC and was a board member for the Greater Washington Urban League Young Professionals.
