Jay Gladis advises sovereign, financial, and strategic investors in cross-border private equity and strategic transactions. With more than 40 years of experience acting as transactional and general outside counsel for a wide variety of industries, he takes a pragmatic, results-oriented approach in advancing his clients’ interests. Jay is admitted to practice in New York.
Jay has worked with strategic and financial investors on private equity and venture capital opportunities, as well as strategic merger and acquisition, joint venture, direct foreign investment, and financing transactions in most regions of the world. He also has experience with projects involving intellectual property, distribution of industrial and consumer products, corporate finance, and general contracting, including outsourcing and consulting services. Jay has front-line experience with clients’ commercial affairs that allows him to identify with their strategic and operational concerns, in addition to their legal issues.
After three years working at an international law firm in Japan, Jay practiced in New York until 2010, when he moved to the Middle East. His years spent outside the United States, as well as his work serving clients of diverse nationalities, has made him sensitive to the specific needs of global clients, and the unique cultural, political, and legal challenges they present.
