Jason D. Burns counsels and represents clients across a broad spectrum of industries in employment matters and general commercial litigation matters including breach of contract and trade secret actions. Jason litigates wage and hour claims under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and equivalent state and local laws, as well as claims arising under federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws.

Jason litigates individual and representative actions in court and arbitration forums (FINRA, AAA, JAMS). In addition to defending companies involved in litigation, he counsels clients on day-to-day employment law matters such as internal investigations of employee misconduct and compliance with state and federal employment laws, as well as matters related to government investigations. Jason also regularly counsels clients on developing effective strategies to protect their trade secrets and other intellectual capital through the use of confidentiality and restrictive covenant agreements, and relatedly represents and defends employers in restrictive covenant enforcement actions.
