Joseph J. Costello represents employers in a broad range of matters, including ERISA class actions, whistleblower and retaliation litigation, executive terminations, workplace investigations, reductions in force, and noncompete/trade secret disputes. Joe focuses on helping employers achieve their business objectives and avoid litigation, but he also has a successful track record of disposing of lawsuits through motion practice, creative settlements, and trying cases when necessary. As the former leader of the firm’s labor and employment practice (2009–2016), Joe managed more than 250 lawyers across the firm.
Joe represents employers before the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the US Department of Labor, and the National Labor Relations Board, and in federal and state courts in multiple jurisdictions throughout the United States.
