Jeremy E. Gauld utilizes his extensive in-house asset management and corporate legal experience to advise and represent investment advisers and registered and unregistered investment companies. Jeremy often advises clients in product development, regulatory, compliance, and corporate matters, including organization and operation of hedge funds and investment advisers, as well as drafting and negotiating offering memoranda, investment management agreements, subscription documents, and other related documentation.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Jeremy was the chief legal officer of the Americas of Aberdeen Standard Investments, a global asset management company headquartered in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Prior to joining Aberdeen Standard Investments in 2014, Jeremy served as the chief legal officer of Batterymarch Financial Management, a subsidiary of Legg Mason and one of the first quantitative investment advisers.
Earlier in his career, Jeremy worked as an investment management associate in two international law firms, where he regularly represented investment advisers, registered investment companies, hedge funds, and broker-dealers.
