Jeaneen M. Kappell focuses her practice on government enforcement investigations and actions as well as complex commercial litigation. Jeaneen represents clients across a wide range of industries that include public and private companies of varying sizes, financial services firms, and current and former executive officers. She also has experience in electronic discovery issues such as defensible document retention and collection practices, as well as production of electronically-stored documents to various governmental entities.
Jeaneen's representative experience includes the defense of a mobile telecommunications provider in a False Claims Act case brought by the New York Attorney General’s office, the defense of a former Chief Financial Officer of a NASDAQ-listed company in an SEC enforcement action involving allegations of improper revenue recognition, and the defense of a financial services firm in an SEC enforcement action involving allegations of misappropriation of client funds.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Jeaneen was an associate at another global law firm.
