John Rickenbacker concentrates his practice in the areas of structured finance and securitization. He counsels financial institutions, REITs, hedge funds and servicers on various capital markets transactions, including novel and early adopter structures. John also leverages his in-house experience to advise companies on the operational implementation and impact of asset-level issues and regulatory developments. He is admitted to practice in North Carolina only, and his practice is supervised by DC Bar members.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, John served in several in-house roles, including most recently serving as deputy general counsel of Redwood Trust, Inc., where he was responsible for all residential mortgage loan legal and regulatory matters from acquisition through takeout, including securitizations.
