With a finance background, Jonathan H. Levy is a problem-solver and story teller who advises clients in white collar and civil litigation by understanding business issues to identify tailored solutions. He represents ABS trustees in defensive and offensive actions, and manages investigations by regulators including the US Department of Justice and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regarding potential violations of RESPA, FIRREA, and the FCPA. Additionally, Jonathan has spent time in-house representing a major bank before state and federal regulators in enforcement actions and exams. He also represents individuals seeking asylum.
Jonathan has provided research assistance to the legal fellows in the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Heritage Foundation and served under the General Counsel of the Boston Red Sox. Jonathan also worked as a law clerk to Commander Charles Stimson, a trial judge in the US Navy JAG Corp (now-General Counsel of the Navy), and Judge Sidney Gribetz at the Bronx County Family Court. During law school, Jonathan served as co-communications editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, writing and editing the Journal’s periodic blog posts, and a senior editor and blogger for the Harvard National Security Journal.
