Josephine Garban, Ph.D, focuses her practice on patent drafting and prosecution, for emerging companies in the life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostics space. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Josephine was a patent agent at a top international law firm in Boston and also worked as a technology transfer liaison at Pennsylvania State University, Office of Technology Management where she managed the IP development of the College of Science.
Josephine holds a Ph.D. in molecular medicine from Pennsylvania State University and B.S in neurosciences from Temple University. Her graduate thesis work focused on the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis; mainly on the role of Reverse Cholesterol Transport via MicroRNAs and the impact of diet and Xenobiotics.
