Joshua S. Richardson advises multinational corporations on domestic and international tax planning and implementation matters. Representing clients across industries, he advises on structuring and documentation issues for corporate mergers and acquisitions, corporate joint ventures, taxable and tax-free reorganizations, and post-acquisition integration. Josh also advises multinational companies on tax issues related to cross-border transactions, foreign currency taxation, hedging of foreign currency risks, withholding taxes, Subpart F planning, and foreign tax credits. In addition, Josh represents clients in domestic and international tax disputes.
Josh also has an active pro bono practice, which includes representation of a Cook County detainee in a civil rights action. Before joining Morgan Lewis, Josh was a partner in the tax practice of another global law firm, resident in Chicago.
