J.P. Schreiber is an employment litigator and advisor with experience in the unique legal challenges facing employers in California. He also provides pragmatic advice and counseling to help employers move toward their business goals with a clear view of the legal circumstances at play.
J.P.’s strategic approach to litigation draws from his experience representing employers in state and federal courts, arbitration, and administrative forums. He handles claims involving alleged wage and hour violations, misappropriation of trade secrets, restrictive covenants and employee mobility issues, sales commission disputes, discrimination, disability accommodation, leaves of absence, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
J.P.’s advice and counsel experience includes advising clients on wage and hour issues, counseling on personnel and termination decisions, revising handbooks and policies, and apprising clients of new legal developments. He tailors his approach to each client’s specific business context while drawing from his experience representing a wide array of multinational, national, and local employers in industries such as technology, finance, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, logistics, retail, and higher education.
Before joining Morgan Lewis, J.P. practiced employment litigation and counseling at another international law firm. At UCLA Law, he received the awards of Moot Court Honors and Outstanding Brief Writer after earning one of the top overall scores in UCLA Law’s moot court competition.
