Janet M. Rasch has more than 30 years of experience in the employee benefits field. She has designed and drafted both simple and complex tax-qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, including defined benefit pension plans, defined contribution plans, employee stock ownership plans, and cash balance plans. Janet also has experience performing plan compliance reviews, evaluating administrative practices and operational processes, resolving compliance matters, drafting plan amendments and participant disclosures, and preparing employee benefit plan–related IRS filings.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Janet served as an employee benefits paralegal for another international law firm. She also worked as a benefits administration business analyst/consultant for Hewitt Associates, an internationally recognized actuarial and benefits consulting firm (now Aon Hewitt), where she managed client project teams in system specifications and implementations, third-party interfaces, benefit calculations, compliance audits, plan terminations, and all aspects of reporting and disclosure.
In addition to her undergraduate degree, Janet received her paralegal certification from the University of Southern California. She is also a commissioned Notary Public.
