Managing Morgan Lewis’s Frankfurt office since 2017, Jörg Siegels advises clients on corporate tax matters. His practice covers tax-related issues, including international and domestic tax planning. He counsels clients on the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and group reorganizations, such as spinoffs and outsourcings. He also works with foreign investors on their German-market activities, including permanent establishments, branches, partnership structures, subsidiaries, and joint ventures. Additionally, Jörg advises businesses on tax issues related to employee compensation, and financial instruments and investments.
Jörg’s work with financial instruments and investments includes asset-backed securities, group and acquisition finance, intragroup relationships, and real estate investments, as well as German outbound matters such as controlled foreign corporations. He counsels clients on the tax ramifications of executive compensation and employee share offer plans. Additionally, he advises charitable and nonprofit organizations on tax matters.
