Jessica L. Vaughn, Ph.D. provides scientific support on US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and related regulatory issues pertaining to FDA-regulated products. She has a strong background in toxicology, molecular biology, epigenetics, genetics, and microbiology, as well as experience in developmental and genetic toxicology. Dr. Vaughn's prior research evaluated the effects of early developmental tobacco exposures on the genetics of the exposed offspring. She has presented research at multiple national and international conferences and has co-authored several papers on this research.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Dr. Vaughn gained valuable experience working in an emergency room as a clinical information manager, where she became skilled in HIPAA compliance, medical coding, and documentation, in addition to clinical exposure to diagnosis and treatment of disease and injury and the interpretation of laboratory and radiologic studies. Dr. Vaughn also spent two years at a major pharmaceutical company, where she provided scientific support to the manufacturing investigation division.
