Keir Baker advises clients on complex commercial disputes in the English courts and in international arbitration. He has experience in matters before the English High Court and in arbitration disputes under the rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and the DIFC-LCIA Arbitration Centre (prior to its abolition). Keir also advises clients on corporate governance and regulatory compliance, including investigations and regulatory enforcement issues.

Keir’s recent experience includes advising institutional shareholders in UK-listed companies in complex securities litigation. He is involved with a number of market-leading claims under Section 90A of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, including cases in which the English courts have considered novel questions of law relating to that provision.

Keir was previously seconded to Morgan Lewis’s Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices. During this time, Keir advised regional and international clients on a variety of matters under the laws of the United Arab Emirates, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).

Only two years after qualification, Keir was recommended in the 2023 edition of The Legal 500 UK, in which clients indicated that he “stand[s] out” for his work on banking and financial services litigations.
