Kevin P. Dermody focuses his practice on commercial and technology transactions. His technology-based transactional practice spans across various industries and includes a wide range of business components, including information technology, finance, accounting, licensing, and emerging technologies. Kevin also has experience in mergers and acquisitions and data privacy.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Kevin was an associate in the Philadelphia office of a national law firm. He concentrated his practice on mergers and acquisitions and data privacy. He also handled client data breaches as part of an incident response team. Kevin has served as the outside general counsel for emerging companies throughout the formation and growth stages of development.
During law school, Kevin served as the president of the Penn Law Class of 2016, and was the development editor for the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law and the student commencement speaker for the Class of 2016 graduation. He also advised and guided non-profit groups through the entity formation process as a member of the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic.
