Marina C. Gruber defends employers in single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and class action employment litigation, and before administrative agencies and in arbitration. Marina represents employers on all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims. She advises on prevailing wage compliance under state and federal law, employee termination risk assessment, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, and disability accommodation.
Marina has handled litigation concerning various aspects of employment law, including misclassification, meal and rest periods, overtime, the California Private Attorneys General Act, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and prevailing wage compliance on public works projects.
Additionally, Marina reviews and drafts employment agreements, employee handbooks, and personnel policies. She has also appeared before the National Labor Relations Board and has represented employers in traditional labor relations matters.
